Using Drain Genie Step 2

Place the Drain Genie over the drain that is clogged or slow running, and hold it with a slight downward pressure to create a seal around the drain. If the wet vacuum is under powered or if this is a tough clog, the overflows may need to be blocked off with a wet rag.

Using Drain Genie Step 3

Turn on wet vacuum and you should feel the water from the P-trap pass through the Drain Genie.  This should take about 5 seconds.

Using Drain Genie Step 4

Remove Drain Genie from the drain and run water down the drain for about 10 to 15 seconds to allow the P-trap to re-fill with water.  Repeat steps 2 & 3 two more times.

Using Drain Genie Step 5

To finish, run water down the drain for about 30 seconds to re-fill P-trap with water.

  Easy to Use Drain Genie

Note: If P-traps are not vented properly, the wet vacuum may pull water from other adjoining P-traps. If this occurs, a sewer smell will continue to emit from a drain. Running water down the drain for 30 seconds will re-fill the P-trap and eliminate the odor.
